GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WVLT) - Ryan Lakes, the 21-year-old missing in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, has been found dead, according to the National Park Service.

Park rangers were searching for the missing man after he was last seen in Nashville on Thursday, and his car was found in the park on Saturday.

Lakes was described as a white male who is 5′5″ tall and 130 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing dark colored gym shorts, a dark shirt, brown tennis shoes and a black backpack before being found.

Park officials said several organizations helped the National Park Service search for Lakes in the Big Creek area of the park, which is where his body was found. Those organizations included:
