Four special operations soldiers — including two from Washington state — are confirmed to have been killed in the crash of an MH-60 Black Hawk helicopter that went down during a training mission in Thurston County on Wednesday night, the U.S. Army said Monday morning in a statement.
Army chief warrant officers Andrew Cully, 35, of Sparta, Missouri, and Andrew Kraus, 39, of Sanibel, Florida, were killed along with two sergeants from Washington: Donavon Scott, 25, of Tacoma, and Jadalyn Good, 23, of Mount Vernon.
The soldiers were part of the “Night Stalkers” from the 4th Battalion, an airborne 160th special operations aviation regiment. The regiment’s mission is to organize, equip and employ Army special operations aviation forces around the world, according to the Army’s website.
