Shillong, Sept 22: Minister-in-charge of Information and Public Relations Lahkmen Rymbui has decided to transform the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) into a more vibrant and effective department.

On his first day in office, Rymbui convened a meeting with DIPR officials to assess their functioning and discuss future plans.

Rymbui described the department as dormant in the current digital age, emphasizing the need for revitalization.
