A football game scheduled at Eden Park has already been moved after a deadly weekend shooting.
JV football squads at Howard High School of Technology and Appoquinimink High School were scheduled to play at Eden Park on Sept. 22 but moved the game’s location to Appo. The shooting was not related to either school or the pending football game.
The decision was made due to uncertainty about whether the park would still be an active crime scene and out of an abundance of caution for the students, said Alexis Andrianopoulos, spokesperson for New Castle County Vocational-Technical School District.
