National League regulars Yeovil Town have announced the shock departure of their manager after just ten days and one match.

Danny Webb was named as the fifth tier side’s new head coach on September 12 but the club have since followed up by announcing his departure.

Personal and family reasons have been cited as the cause , although there are no more details than that.

In a statement the club said: “Yeovil Town Football Club can confirm that Danny Webb has resigned from his position as First Team Manager due to personal and family reasons.

“He has expressed his personal sadness in having to leave the club but feels this is the right decision for him and his family.
