Three Shreveport public safety agencies will conduct a joint training exercise on Thursday, September 25, at 9 a.m. The Shreveport Police Department, Shreveport Fire Department, and the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office will hold the exercise at Calumet, located in the 3300 block of Midway Avenue.

To allow for the training, Jewella Avenue will be closed between Midway Street and Hollywood Avenue from 8 a.m. until noon. Drivers should find other routes, and nearby residents are asked for their patience.

The public should not be concerned by the large number of emergency vehicles and personnel, including the Shreveport Police Drone Team, that will be on-site. The exercise is designed to improve coordination and readiness among first responders.
