(QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Did product defect and negligence contribute to the deadly Air India crash that killed 260 people last June? The families of the four victims think so and have filed a lawsuit stating exactly that.
This is likely the first of many lawsuits against Boeing and Honeywell.
Boeing, being the planemaker of the accident aircraft, the Dreamliner 787, and Honeywell, the maker of the fuel cut-off switches used in that plane.
As reported by the Aero News Network, the lawsuit references an alleged problem with the fuel cutoff switches that could have caused the plane to lose power on takeoff.
According to the complaint, the switches were defectively designed and poorly placed.
