Katya Jones has revealed a sweet move alongside her new celebrity dance partner Lewis Cope as their Strictly Come Dancing journey officially got underway.

The professional dancer has been revealed as the Emmerdale star's teacher as they compete in the hit BBC One dance contest this year.

Lewis, who is best known for having played Nicky Milligan in the ITV soap, wasn't originally part of this year's Strictly line-up but was drafted in when another star, Game of Thrones actor Kristian Nairn, had to pull out due to medical reasons.

After a 24-hour whirlwind of being officially revealed as taking part in the show, Lewis was seen among the 15 celebrities being welcomed into the Strictly ballroom during the pre-recorded launch show on Saturday (September 20).
