(NewsNation) — Seven children who escaped a psychiatric facility in Raleigh, North Carolina, were safely located Sunday night.
The group escaped after a "disturbance" at Holly Hill Hospital, which treats psychiatric and addictive disorders, around 8 p.m.
Police used drones and K-9 Units to search for the children, who were located just before 11 p.m.
None of them were considered dangerous, and there was no threat to the community, police said.
It is not the first incident at the facility. In December of 2024, a large brawl among more than 20 girls led to six girls being taken to a nearby hospital for injuries.
