LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A HopeSpoke employee accused of sexually assaulting a teen in the Lincoln nonprofit’s care was arrested on Friday.

The Lincoln Police Department Special Victims Unit took 24-year-old Brandon Young of Lincoln into custody on suspicion of sexual abuse by a school worker, sexual abuse of a detainee and child abuse.

LPD began investigating on April 30, following a report to the Department of Health and Human Services hotline. A 17-year-old male resident reported being sexually assaulted by an employee on April 23.

The victim said Young had driven him to go shopping around 10 p.m. On the way back, he parked the vehicle in the alley behind the facility, locked it and sexually assaulted the teenager, according to LPD.
