POMONA, Kan. (KSNW) -- Law enforcement in northeast Kansas is looking for a man who is considered armed and dangerous.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said it began shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Sunday when a man contacted 911 to report that his neighbor, Lester Caleb, 58, had been firing his gun outside his property in the 1200 block of Kansas Highway 68 east of Pomona. The neighbor reported that when he called to check on him to make sure he was okay, Caleb threatened him.
The sheriff's office says a deputy who went to investigate was shot at by Caleb, but not hit or injured. Caleb then retreated towards his home, where the deputy lost sight of him.
