INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts are signing a veteran piece of insurance in the wake of the calf injury Kenny Moore II suffered against Tennessee.

Indianapolis is signing veteran Mike Hilton to the practice squad, a league source told IndyStar on Monday.

Hilton, 31, has a long history with Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo. Anarumo’s Bengals signed Hilton in free agency in 2021 after four years with the Steelers, and the savvy veteran shined as Cincinnati’s nickel cornerback, the spot left open by Moore’s calf injury.
