COLDWATER, MI. — Apples were in short supply, but the crowd was not for Coldwater's annual Apple Fest Saturday, Sept. 20 in downtown.

Floyd Tucker of Showcase Gardens said a cold spring kept the bees from pollinating apples in southwest Michigan. Other areas of the state saw good harvests. "Get them while they're here," Tucker told those stopping by his booth along U.S.12.
