MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A Dyersburg, Tenn., man was charged with arson after allegedly setting fires at an apartment complex on Sunday.

According to the Dyersburg Police Department, David Weir, 19, set two fires at St. John Apartments.

Police responded to the apartment complex about three times in less than three hours.

Police said the first complaint was about a broken window at 6:40 p.m., and at 9 p.m., officers returned to the scene regarding two fires, one set to an apartment's back door and another in a vacant apartment.

Officers said they identified Weir as a suspect after he was allegedly in a dispute with a family member at the apartment complex.

DPD said Weir's description was given to officers, and he was arrested after he was seen watching the scene and running away.
