Spirit Airlines is recognizing Michigan as a top spot to see the changing colors of autumn with a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it deal on one-way flights.

To mark the first day of fall, the low-cost airline announced select one-way offerings starting at $44 from Oct. 7 through mid-December to “popular leaf-peeping destinations.”

The most options are to or from Detroit Metro Airport.

“Guests can explore trails and parks brimming with autumn foliage or drive to nearby iconic leaf-peeping areas when they fly to Detroit this fall,” Spirit Airlines said in a news release. “Travelers looking for a truly immersive fall experience can take a scenic drive from Detroit toward northern Michigan for the iconic Tunnel of Trees Scenic Byway.”
