Being the frontman for a globally loved heavy metal band would be enough for most singers.

But not Bruce Dickinson.

The British native is on his second tour of duty with Iron Maiden, which celebrated its 50th anniversary with a world tour this year and plans to be back out on the road next. In the meantime Dickinson can be found playing his own shows, supporting last year’s album “The Mandrake Project,” his first solo outing in 19 years, and this year’s “More Balls to Picasso,” a fresh reimagining of Dickinson’s second solo album, which was released in 1994. “The Mandrake Project” also includes a 12-volume comic book series, written by Dickinson with Tony Lee for Z2 comics and illustrated by Staz Johnson with four volumes already out and another album he plans to start recording early ne
