Several new measles exposure sites across Perth and the Pilbara have been revealed after two new cases were reported to health authorities over the weekend.
Pharmacies, supermarkets and a Newman gym are the latest to be listed by the Department of Health following confirmation of measles in a returned overseas traveller from Bali, and another locally acquired case in the Perth metro area.
WA Health said neither case is related to each other or the latest outbreak, linked with the Christmas Creek Mine, about 145km north of Newman.
Fly-in, fly-out workers were last week urged to check their measles immunisation records after three cases were linked to the Fortescue-operated Pilbara mine site.
A fourth case was also confirmed in another FIFO worker, but was not counted in WA’s casel
