KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A former Olathe West High School science teacher was sentenced in a Johnson County court last Thursday after investigators said he had sexual relations with a student at the school in October 2024.
According to court records, Jonathan Molina-Calderon was given a 3-year probation term after pleading no contest this summer to one count of unlawful sexual relations with a student 16 years or older.
Charges were filed against Molina-Calderon on Nov. 26, 2024, about one month after the assault. Then, on Thursday, Dec. 19, the former teacher was found and arrested in Kansas City. He was later extradited to Kansas.
