Myleene Klass became overwhelmed with emotion as she opened up about a major milestone as she continues to share her journey as a single mother.

The former singer beamed with pride, while she struggled to hold her tears back as she took her eldest daughter, Ava to university over the weekend.

Myleene described the moment as bittersweet as she waved goodbye to her daughter, speaking of how it had extra meaning as she raised Ava and younger sister, Hero, 14 as a single mother following her split with boyfriend, Graham Quinn in 2013.

Posting to Instagram, she said: “We have been through so much together, in particular the single mum journey where I often wondered if I could get her to this point alone.
