FOXBOROUGH - Antonio Gibson accounted for one of the Patriots five fumbles in Sunday’s 21-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
But he wasn’t the worst offender. Rhamondre Stevenson put the ball on the ground twice.
Gibson, who doesn’t have the same checkered history as Stevenson when it comes to fumbling, said Monday it’s a problem all of the backs are going to continue to work on.
As teammates, though, Gibson said it was important to support Stevenson.
“Just be there for him. There’s not too much you can say,” Gibson said. “He won us a lot of games, too. Everybody makes mistakes. People in the regular day job makes mistakes. It happens. We just gotta be there for him.
