WEST LAFAYETTE — After consecutive losses, Purdue football gets an idle weekend in preparation of its next game.

Details of the start time for Purdue 's game Oct. 4 against Illinois at Ross-Ade Stadium were announced Monday.

The Boilermakers and Illini will kick off at noon for a game televised on Big Ten Network.

Illinois defeated Purdue 50-49 in overtime last season to end the Boilers' four-game winning streak in the series in the battle for the Purdue Cannon traveling trophy.
