More than 1,600 first-time applicants who took the full bar exam passed the test in July, according to the Florida Board of Bar Examiners.
The bar exam is the main licensing test for the legal profession usually administered by a jurisdiction's bar association.
A total of 2,152 people took the exam for the first time on July 29-30 in Tampa, according to a news release. 1,687 passed, which is a 78.4 percent passage rate among those test takers.
The Florida Board of Bar Examiners also provided data about the schools that educated those test takers.
Of the accredited schools within Florida, the University of Florida College of Law boasted the highest passage rate at 92.8 percent.
The University of Miami School of Law, meanwhile, ranked 7th-highest with a passage rate of 86.1%. Florida B
