On Saturday, Sept. 20, the quiet prairie town of Altona became a place of healing and resilience expressed through ink.
The “Tats for Tots” fundraiser, hosted by tattoo artists Tabitha and Shorty, brought together families, friends, and supporters with a single goal: To raise funds for the Manitoba Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Support Group . By the end of the day, organizers announced the event had generated enough to fund four newly diagnosed care packages — “small lifelines in a time when families need them most,” Candlelighters said.
