James "Jimmy" McCain, son of the late Sen. John McCain, will be the newest member of the Arizona Board of Regents.

The body oversees Arizona's public university system, which includes Arizona State University, the University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University. McCain, who currently lives in Yavapai County, will represent northern Arizona after being appointed by Gov. Katie Hobbs. McCain is a businessman, ASU graduate and a veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
