STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — South Shore residents should plan extra time on their Staten Island Railway trips this week.

On Monday, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced planned service changes that will have all trains boarding on the St. George-bound side for select stations.

This boarding change will affect the Eltingville, Annadale, and Huguenot stations, according to the MTA service advisory website .

The disruption will take place from Monday, Sept. 22 through Wednesday, Sept. 24. as crews perform scheduled maintenance.

The good news, for those commuting during rush hours, is that the work causing the service disruptions will only take place between 9:45 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to the MTA.
