MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) -- Auburn head basketball Bruce Pearl is expected to retire, according to a report from ESPN's Jeff Borzello and Pete Thamel on Monday. His son, Steven, is expected to be the head coach for the Tigers' upcoming season.

Pearl just completed his 11th season as the Auburn head coach. He led the Tigers to the Final Four twice, including this past season.

Auburn won three regular-season SEC titles and two tournament championships under Pearl. He finished with a 246-125 overall record on the Plains.

Steven Pearl has served as an Auburn assistant for the entirety of his father's tenure and was promoted to associate head coach two seasons ago.
