PHOENIX (AZFamily) — NBA Hall of Famer and Phoenix Suns legend Steve Nash is returning to the team as a senior advisor.

The announcement made by Suns owner Mat Ishbia on Monday morning comes during an offseason that has seen many changes to the team, which includes a new head coach, general manager, and the trade of star Kevin Durant .

“Steve Nash was an amazing player and exactly what the Phoenix Suns are all about,” Suns owner Matt Ishbia said. “His grit, toughness, and winning mentality have defined our organization in the past, and I’m so excited to share that Steve is formally joining the Suns as a senior adviser and will help us define our future for years to come!”
