Irene Davis Arant, 88, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on September 20, 2025, at Calvert City Convalescent Center.

Irene was born in Livingston County, Kentucky, on September 4, 1937, to the late Reed Davis and Ruby Williams Davis. After graduating from Droughon’s Business College, Irene went to work for the Marshall County Board of Education, where she worked in the payroll department until her retirement. Outside of work, Irene’s life was filled with family, friends, and faith.

As a woman of deep Christian faith, Irene was a long-time member of Palma Methodist Church. Her commitment to her religion was evident in her daily life and the way she lovingly interacted with those around her.
