NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officer Tommy Norman has announced his plans to retire, according to a social media post.

Norman posted on Monday that he looked forward to serving the community in a different way now.

"After 27 years, I’m announcing my retirement from the North Little Rock Police Department. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve the citizens of North Little Rock for almost three decades. I look forward to continue serving the community in a different capacity. My motto has always been “if you show up, come back” and I’ll continue to come back for a community I now consider family.
