Rep. Chris Deluzio on Monday joined Gov. Josh Shapiro and other Democrats — and even some Republicans — in defending the Constitution’s strong free speech protections in the wake of ABC late night host Jimmy Kimmel’s recent suspension.

Mr. Deluzio didn’t directly mention Mr. Kimmel or his bosses at ABC and Disney, nor President Donald Trump or Brendan Carr, the Federal Communications Commission chief who had criticized Mr. Kimmel’s comments on the aftermath of conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination. But the congressman suggested the Trump administration was treading on dangerous ground.
