OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A new report finds that some things that Omaha is doing well, and identifies some areas of improvement.

The Barometer Report comes from the Greater Omaha Chamber and researchers at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The report compares Omaha with similar-sized cities and regions.

This year’s installment finds Omaha is doing well in higher education and quality of life, with top scores for cost of living, public safety, and arts and culture.

The report also finds strengths in higher education attainment.

However, there are signs of improvement, including entrepreneurship rates, and the state tax environment.

Also, the region is lagging in workforce growth, and many college graduates tend to move away.
