The Aspen Institute has announced that Dan Porterfield will complete his service as president and CEO in the summer of 2026 after more than eight years at the helm.

Since joining the institute in 2018, Porterfield, 64, has led it through a period of “growth, innovation and renewal,” the organization said in a news release.

Under Porterfield, the institute approved a new and ambitious strategic plan , raised nearly $300 million toward a historic $450 million fundraising campaign and grew its programs and impact.
