ALLEGAN, Mich. (WOOD) — On Oct. 3 and Oct. 4, visitors to Allegan can attend the first ever Halloween Hoot-n-Howl, a community event that encourages guests to explore local businesses and take part in free fall-themed activities.

Halloween Hoot-n-Howl begins at 5 p.m. throughout downtown, where customers can enjoy late hours at participating restaurants and shops.

"For every $10 spent, a participant will be entered in to win a grand prize raffle," Parker Johnson, assistant city manager for the city of Allegan, said. "It will culminate at The Griswold Auditorium."

The grand prizes will be awarded during an 8:30 p.m. screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. • In downtown Allegan, local businesses and museums will participate in a weekend fall and Halloween themed celebration on Oct.
