ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WITN) - Police have identified a man killed in a mass shooting early Sunday in Rocky Mount.

Kedar Darden, 24, was one of five people shot around 6:00 a.m. on Benvenue Road.

Names of the other people injured have not yet been released, but police say a 27-year-old woman, a 28-year-old woman, and a 24-year-old man have all been released from the hospital. A 32-year-old man remains hospitalized in fair condition, police say.

The shooting happened at a house in the 2100 block of Benvenue Road.

Police have yet to release any details about why the shooting happened or any information on a possible suspect.

The street in front of the home is open again to traffic.
