STRUTHERS, Ohio (WKBN) -- Struthers Mayor Cat Miller said she was sick that another historic downtown building had to be demolished -- but the city had no other choice. It was in that bad of shape.

What was the McKinney building on South Bridge Street has been reduced to rubble. It was built in 1916, and was most recently was owned by the city of Struthers.

Miller said they had 40 people look at buying the building, but no one was interested.

A fire last year was what led to the demolition.

The building previously housed The Cellar, Kelly Pavlik's 13th round, and Los Gallos. Mayor Miller said it's her policy to save every historic building possible.
