DES MOINES, Iowa (Gray Media Iowa State Capitol Bureau) Iowa State Representative Taylor Collins, a Republican from Mediapolis, is among those in his party who have called for educators to be fired if they posted on social media remarks that could be viewed as celebrating the death of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk.

Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, died after getting shot during an event he held on September 10th at Utah Valley University.

Tens of thousands of people filled the stadium of the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday for Kirk’s memorial.

Kirk’s widow, Erika, said, “My husband, Charlie, he wanted to save young men, just like the one who took his life...I forgive him.”
