MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) - Haifa's cold, smoked salmon and seabass products are being recalled nationwide due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The recall affects products distributed to retail stores across the country and may include items sold in Mesa County. However, no illnesses have been reported in connection to these products so far.

The products are: • Haifa “COLD SMOKED SALMON” 8 OZ., LOT # 219. • Haifa “COLD SMOKED SEABASS” 8 OZ., LOT # 212. • Vacuum packaged on a paper board with flexible plastic.

Consumers are advised to check their refrigerators and freezers for the recalled products and either discard them or return them to the store for a refund. Those with concerns after consuming the recalled products should contact a doctor.
