The latest news on Marcus Davenport isn’t great, but the bright side is that all hope isn’t lost for his 2025 campaign.
Just hours before their Monday Night Football game against the Baltimore Ravens, the Detroit Lions placed the veteran pass rusher on injured reserve with a chest injury. Davenport suffered the setback during last week’s home-opening win over the Chicago Bears.
Following the Lions, Davenport could be seen at his locker with a large bag of ice wrapped around his chest.
The IR designation means Davenport will miss at least four games.
Speaking with reporters over the weekend, Lions coach Dan Campbell made clear he didn’t believe the injury would end Davenport’s season, but confirmed he would not be available against Baltimore.
