One of the lawyers representing the nine women suing Just for Laughs founder Gilbert Rozon for alleged sexual abuse said in his closing arguments on Monday he has never seen a case with so much damning evidence.
Bruce Johnston, a lawyer for the plaintiffs who are seeking a total of nearly $14 million, also said Rozon lied often when he testified in his defence in the case being held at the Montreal courthouse.
Included among the plaintiffs is Patricia Tulasne, an actress who is seeking $1.6 million. She claims Rozon raped her in 1994.
Another plaintiff is Danie Frenette, also an actress, who claims Rozon raped her in 1988. She is seeking $2.2 million.
