Florida football will host Texas in an afternoon start at The Swamp.

The Florida Gators (1-3, 0-1 SEC) will face the No. 7 Longhorns (3-1, 0-0 SEC) in a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on Oct. 4. The game will either be televised on ESPN or ABC, pending the outcomes of games on Sept. 27.

Florida is heading into an open week coming off a 26-7 loss at No. 6 Miami on Sept. 20. UF's offense remains stuck in the mud under fourth-year coach Billy Napier, as the Gators have scored just three touchdowns over their last three games.

Texas, which joined the SEC in 2024, is making its first trip to The Swamp since Dec. 7, 1940, a game the Longhorns won 26-0. Florida is 0-3-1 against Texas and lost 49-17 to the Longhorns at Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas last, season.
