TEXARKANA, Texas (KSLA) - A man wanted in connection to a shooting Sunday afternoon (Sept. 21) at a Texarkana apartment complex has surrendered himself to authorities.

Officials with the Texarkana Texas Police Department (TTPD) announced Monday in a social media post that Jack Nelson, 24, had been booked into the Bi-State Jail with bond set at $100,000.

TTPD’s Facebook post stated:

We made a quick arrest in a shooting that happened at Sunset Apartments on Sunday.

We got several 911 calls around 3:45, about a man who had been shot and was running through the apartment complex. When we got there, we found a 34-year-old man with several gunshot wounds. Thankfully, his injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening, and he was taken to Christus St. Michael for treatment.
