SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - For the second straight week, shots were fired at Eddy Street Commons in the middle of a busy Notre Dame home football game weekend.

Just nine days ago, five vehicles and two apartments were damaged after shots were fired during the Texas A&M-Notre Dame game. While nobody was hurt, police say hundreds of people were in the area when those shots were fired.

And just hours after Notre Dame picked up its first win of the season against Purdue this past Saturday, a window in the entryway of the Embassy Suites in the area was damaged by gunfire .

The most recent shots were fired during a weekend that saw enhanced police patrols as a result of what happened the previous weekend.
