On Monday, CFL commissioner Stewart Johnston announced several new rule changes and field modifications that will be phased out over the next two years beginning with a modified rouge and 35-second running play clock in 2026 to a shorter field, shorter end zones and new goalpost position in 2027. And while the remainder of the 2025 CFL season will be played status quo, the Saskatchewan Roughriders and other teams across the league will need to start mapping out what the new rules changes mean for their respective stadiums.
