“Brilliant Minds” is returning with more neurological mysteries.
Zachary Quinto will reprise his role as unorthodox and passionate physician Oliver Wolf, who is based on real-life neurologist and writer Oliver Wolf Sacks. Season 2 of “Brilliant Minds,” which premieres on Monday, Sept. 22, will pick up about a month and a half after the tumultuous events of season 1.
Last season, Oliver learned that his father Noah ( Mandy Patinkin ), whom he’d been told died by suicide years prior, is not only alive, but suffering from a neurological disorder. Further complicating his life, things are rocky between Oliver and his neurosurgeon beau Josh ( Teddy Sears ), and his best friend, psychiatrist Carol Pierce ( Tamberla Perry ), is facing a mysterious ethical complaint.
