Deion Sanders believes his son, rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders , will start for the Cleveland Browns before the end of the season.

The Colorado coach said on the "New Heights" podcast with Jason and Travis Kelce that he expects Shedeur’s opportunity to come soon.

"Be patient and be ready," Sanders said. "You got to be ready when it’s time. But when it’s time, you're going to know. And it’s coming up. I got a prediction. I ain't telling nobody. I got a feeling when it’s going to go down. But it's going to go down this year. … He’s going to get a shot."

Shedeur Sanders, taken by the Browns in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft , is currently third on the depth chart behind veteran Joe Flacco and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel. Buy Cleveland Browns tickets
