PEORIA, Ill. – “Eight years is far too long.”
Those are the words of Peoria Police Chief Eric Echevarria on Monday, a day before the anniversary of the disappearance of Alexis Scott.
Scott was last seen alive at a house party in the 100-block of Richmond at around 5:00 A.M. on September 23rd, 2017.
Police say since then, there have been no confirmed signs of life, and patterns of daily activity have abruptly ceased.
In a statement on Monday, Echevarria says her disappearance is still an active case, and is asking anyone with details to come forward, no matter how small or insignificant.
“We want the community and Alexis Camry Scott’s loved ones to know that we have not forgotten her,” Echevarria said.
Peoria Police says ongoing communication with Alexis’ mother, April Scott, continue
