PIKE COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — Chris Luke can't wrap his head around the devastating call he got from his mom this past weekend that he lost his two nieces, Amariah, Remi, Faith, and Charli Grayce, in a car crash.
"It floored me, and I was stuttering so bad I didn't know what to say, and crying, it was overwhelming. They have been in our life for a while; they made an impact on us," Uncle Chris Luke said.
The crash happened about nine miles south of Troy.
The two girls, their brother Noah, and older sister Grace Grimes were riding with their father Raymond Holmes, coming from Coffee Springs, heading to Wetumpka, when their Nissan SUV collided with a pickup truck driven by a 16-year-old -- just less than 45 minutes of being in the car.
