LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Artists at Iroquois Park are working around the clock to get ready for the Jack O'Lantern Spectacular, hand-painting, designing, and carving hundreds of pumpkins in the month leading up to opening night.

The fan-favorite event will once again light a path through the woods with intricate scenes.

“You have different pumpkins that appeal to different ages. So you have some that are for mom and dad. You have some that are for the littles. But really, it is for all ages to come and enjoy,” said Morgan Reining with Parks Alliance of Louisville.

This year’s theme, “Jack’s Pun-King Trail,” transforms the third-of-a-mile route into a dad joke and clever pun trail.

To keep the experience fresh, pumpkins are swapped out regularly.
