A mother has been busted after allegedly leaving her two young children in a hot car and going insider her home to sleep.

Tiona Lasaisha Islar, 28, told deputies that she last saw her three-year-old daughter and her six-year-old son at 10am in her Texas home when she was going to sleep, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

Islar claimed that she did not see them again until she discovered them dead inside her car on Saturday.

Deputies responded to the home on Chancery Gate and Appleton Way in San Antonio around 3pm after receiving reports of hot car deaths involving kids. One of the deputies performed CPR and life-saving measures on both of the siblings while emergency responders were en route.
