LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Louisiana’s job market continues to grow, adding more than 19,000 jobs over the past year.

Today, the Louisiana Workforce Commission hosted a career fair at the American Job Center to help connect employers and job seekers.

Crystal Scott, the local area coordinator at the American Job Center, explains that the job market has many opportunities for people to participate.

“In the job market in general, I’m finding that if you want to work, opportunities are there,” Scott said. “The general foot traffic that we receive here at the American Job Center is people who are looking for employment, but also for people who are looking for better employment.”
